Saif Ali Khan has
been quite vocal about his recent failures but at the same time he is being
hopeful to bounce back.
After Chef,
Kaalakandi was Saif’s bet and he was really wishing for its success. However,
things have unfortunately turned out otherwise for the star.
Saif Ali Khan In Kaalakandi
Kaalakandi,
directed by Delhi Belly writer, Akshat Verma, got an extremely poor start and
has managed to collect just Rs 1 crore (approx) on day 1.
While the
reviews of the film are just about average, the ticket windows have not brought
good news either.
Although Saif’s
performance is being appreciated and in fact that’s the only saving grace in
the film, somehow the word ‘hit’ is running away from the star since a long
time.
If we rewind a
bit, right from Bullet Raja (2013), Humshakals (2014), Happy Ending (2014),
Phantom (2015), Rangoon (2017) and the most recent one Chef (2017)- Saif has
been slipping and how.

Meanwhile, the
other two films which released with Kaalakandi were Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz
and Vikram Bhatt’s 1921. These two also registered a low figure of 1.5 crore
and 75 lakh respectively at the box-office. Vikram Bhatt’s film surely lost out
on a few lakh thanks to big multiplexes not showing the movie during the
first half of Friday.
Coming to Saif’s
Kaalakandi, well, we really hope the jinx of flops ends for Nawab Pataudi real
soon.
