an UPWARD TREND on Sat... 35.80% growth... Sun should be stronger... Fri
4.05 cr, Sat 5.50 cr. Total: ₹ 9.55 cr. India biz (sic).”

Positive word of mouth from critics and audience alike
seem to have worked in favour of the film. The total collection of Ittefaq
(till now) stands at Rs 9.55 crore.
SpotboyE.com’s Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film with 3 stars and wrote that the plot keeps you at the edge of the seat throughout.
Praising the star cast he said that Akshaye Khanna, Sidharth Malhotra, and
Sonakshi Sinha pull off their respective roles rather well.
However, according to him, the plot could have been more
racy and pacy, “The film could have been better and there is room for
improvisation. But I'll go with THREE- one for decent performances by Sonakshi
and Sidharth, one for B Rji's 'upcoming' grandson, and one for Akshaye who if
you haven't gauged by now, is a scene-stealer.”
Directed by Abhay Chopra and produced by Red Chillies
Entertainment and Dharma Productions, the film is inspired from the 1969 film
by the same name, directed by Yash Chopra, which starred Rajesh Khanna, Nanda
and Iftekhar. The makers of the film had decided to not promote the film
anywhere. But before the release they promoted it on digital media by starting
a campaign against spoilers. Many Bollywood actors got together to request the
public to not disclose the secret after watching movie and not encourage
spoilers.
Lets’ wait and watch to see what Sunday has in
store for the film.
