It’s definitely a good year for the makers of romantic-comedy Good Newwz. Winning hearts by striking such an amazing balance on the sensitive topic of IVF, hats off to director Raj Mehta. And not to forget the incredible cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani who pulled us to theatres and soaked us in their emotional world for a short span of time. So now on that note, it was very obvious for the movie to touch the 100 crore mark at the earliest.
On its fifth day at the box office, this multi-starrer stands on Rs. 94.60 crore. One of the male leads, Diljit Dosanjh, sharing this good news by sharing the movie poster with the mention of the box office numbers right from day one. He captioned this post as, “Ushering in the Good vibes With The Batras ! #GoodNewwz soars at the Box-Office With Unabashed Love From All Over !” We can already imagine Akki and Diljit breaking into bhangra just like they did it a movie sequence. On Day 5, the movie minted Rs. 16.20 crore and keeping in mind an off today after the New Year’s Eve, the theatres will be flocked by the audience once again today. Hence, the movie might just touch the 100 crore mark today.
SpotboyE Editor, Vickey Lalwani praised the flick and wrote in his review, “Good Newwz from Karan Johar's stable is a winning horse. This sperm mix-up film has several scenes which leave a mark.”
