Here is the break-up of the 3 days collections (Wed-Thu-Fri) for both the films:
RAEES
Day 1: Rs 20.42 cr
Day 2: Rs 26.30 cr
Day 3: Rs 13.11 cr
KAABIL
Day 1: Rs 10.43 cr
Day 2: Rs 18.67 cr
Day 3: Rs 9.77 cr
So, the grand total of the first three days stands at- Rs 59.83 cr for Raees and Rs 38.87 cr for Kaabil.
While Raees has crossed the Rs 50 cr mark, Kaabil is gradually getting there. The weekend will be crucial for both the films as the maximum turnout in cinemas will take place over Saturday and Sunday.
As far as the reviews are concerned, both the films have received appreciation from the mass. There is strong word of mouth for both Raees and Kaabil. Social media is also abuzz with their decent run at the box-office.
However, Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan were taken aback by a shocking turnaround in the no. of shows distributed between Raees and Kaabil. The division of shows between Kaabil and Raees changed to 45-55 and 40-60 across cinemas, instead of the decided 50-50 ratio, on the day of release.
A lot of ego at stake in the next few days. Sleepless nights, rising tempers, lots of phone calls, sab kuch hone wala hai. Let's not bet on who will win this battle.
