Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor's Chhichhore which was released on September 6 received a mixed response from the critics as well as from the audience. The film that started on a low note strives to maintain a good run on day 4 as well. After giving a good performance on Sunday, the film did see a drop but still manages to score. Nitesh Tiwari's directorial has now collected Rs. 8.10 crore on Monday at the box office, taking the grand total to Rs. 44.08 crore at the domestic markets.
Given the fact that Mondays are considered to be crucial and tough, a film which was low on buzz still managed to stay steady at the box-office despite low ticket rates on weekdays and with sharing screen space with Prabhas and Shraddha's Saaho. For now, word of mouth publication can only make this film cross the 50 crore mark which will probably happen by the end of this week. Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha’s romantic-comedy, Dream Girl is set to release on September 13, 2019. The trailer’s quirkiness and unique plot yet again get the audience’s attention, assuring an entertaining week ahead. This might disturb Chhichhore's box-office collection further.
Talking about the film, Chhichhore is a tale of friendship, showcasing two generations of their life. The film also stars Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Naveen Polishetty.
