While the
family entertainer Mubarakan is zooming ahead at the box-office, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar is lagging behind.
The political
drama starring Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Tota Roy Chowdhury was
dogged by controversies and that seems to have had an impact on Indu Sarkar’s
box-office performance.
Kirti Kulhari In Indu Sarkar
According to
BoxofficeIndia.com, Indu Sarkar has made Rs 1.05 crore on day two of its
release, taking its total collection to Rs. 1.90 crore.
While the numbers
may not be encouraging, the actors have received praise.
Neil Nitin
Mukesh, who plays the main antagonist in the film, was so overwhelmed by the
positive response that he took to his Twitter account to share his feelings.
He tweeted "
It's extremely encouraging for an actor when his audience reacts so positively.
Indu sarkar has been my most daring role yet (sic)."

Indu Sarkar had
received a lukewarm response from moviegoers when it released on July 28.
Theatres have allocated lesser shows for the political drama. People who
stepped out after watching the film, were however impressed by Kirti Kulhari’s
performance and opined that she carries the whole film.
