Bala Box-Office Collections Day 1: Ayushmann Khurrana Surpasses His Own Record; Delivers His Highest Opener

Ayushmann Khurrana is back to enthrall the audience with yet another quirky project. Based on the subject of premature balding, the film has been in controversy for copyright infringement accused by the makers of Sunny Singh starrer Ujda Chaman. To avoid the clash of almost the same subjects – Ujda Chaman and Bala – former’s makers decided to shift the release date. As Bala has already hit the screens, the film has taken off on a very good note on Day 1.

Co-starring Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar the film has made a business of Rs 10.15 crore on Day 1. Sharing the first-day box-office collections of Ayushmann starrer, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Bala has an excellent Day 1... Strong word of mouth + Brand Ayushmann are key contributors... Expect biz to grow further on Day 2 and 3... Fri ₹ 10.15 cr. #India biz.” With this number on Day 1, Bala becomes Ayushmann’s life’s highest opener leaving his last 6 hit films behind.
