SpotboyE spoke to the Bollywood trade. This is what they had to say:
Rajesh Thadani, Distributor: I think it's Airlift all the way. The film has worked well on word of mouth publicity. It's a well-made film but it doesn't look likely that it will click too well with the smaller centres. It will remain afloat in the urban centres. Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 on the other hand just didn't work. It lacks story and is piled up with vulgarity which doesn't appeal to people any more, it's been made at a cheap price so it might just recover costs.
As for Kya Kool Hain Hum 3, it was full of vulgarity and sleazy jokes. Such films have stopped finding an audience, even in smaller centres. After a point, people get fed up. This week there will be another one: Mastizaade. I just hope people don't start comparing which of the two sleazy films was worse.
Manoj Desai, Exhibitor: People have loved Airlift but they have not liked Kya Kool Hain Hum 3. Even college students haven't turned up much for Kya Kool, whereas Airlift has had a lot of family audience.
