Time and
again we have heard and read the tragic love story of Mirza Sahiban. Now,
the same has been put on the screen by Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra with Mirzya, which hits theaters today.
Gulzar,
the maestro of screenplay, has returned to writing a film after 17 years. Two
parallel beautifully woven stories from two different eras compliment each
other, challenging its audience.
The film
is a musical love drama. Folk songs and dance enrich the story telling.
Direction
is carefree and bold, which is quite different than the films that have
recently come out.
The
debutantes have done a decent job.
SpotboyE.com's
biggest film buff Sangya Lakhanpal took to the theatre to review the film and
gives 2.5 stars.
