Taapsee Pannu picks strong subjects and makes them her own. Not just on screen, even off it, the actress is a strong lady with honest opinions. She has always voiced her thoughts without holding back. She is talkative and we totally love it. When we caught up with the actress for a quick chat at her residence, she addresses everything, in a very calm manner. From her upcoming projects to her equation with her co-stars, she speaks about everything under the Sun.

Particularly, what caught our attention was her take on award shows. We ass  if it’s fair for people to look for validation for the work they do. The actress has a different take on it.

“For many of my films, no matter how they have done, critically or commercially, I haven’t got validation either from her or from anyone else. I don’t crib about that because my validation is coming from people who are paying to watch my films. I want validation only from them. In fact, I don’t even want to be considered for any awards. I want my film to be a box-office success,” Taapsee says in a stern voice.

On Wednesday evening, we also ran the interview wherein she addressed the “sasta copy” controversy that erupted soon after Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli verbally attacked her and called her a “sasta copy” of Kangana. Well, Pannu has a candid reply to it, as she says, “If she thinks I am a copy of Kangana in any way, sasta or mehenga, I take it as a compliment because she is a really good actress. Maybe Rangoli said ‘sasta copy’ because according to her, Kangana is the highest paid actress today, so in that reference, I might be a sasti copy because definitely I don’t earn as much as she does.”

Just a day after that, we brought you Kangana’s exclusive interview wherein she replied to Taapsee’s comment on the controversy, “Well, that is very gracious of her. She is very gracious and in any way, don't we as contemporaries inspire each other? She started in the South just around the same time as I did and she is my contemporary and so many times consciously and subconsciously we inspire each other. I feel whether it is Deepika's infectious fitness routine or Alia's chirpiness or whether it is Katrina's Miss Congeniality personality, it is always what subconsciously we all get from each other and the way Kareena is being so consistent with her work!”

Meanwhile, the actress is supporting a Mumbai-based NGO to create awareness around menstrual hygiene. On work front, she will be seen in Mission Mangal next that also stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen.
