Earlier this year, Sharvari debuted with Amazon Prime’s web show, The Forgotten Army and got noticed for her performance. Now, the newbie is all set to conquer the big screen with Bunty Aur Babli 2, s sequel to the 2005 film, Bunty Aur Babli.

We interviewed the actress and in a pretty excited manner, Sharvari narrated her journey from participating in a talent hunt contest to bagging the lead role in the YRF film.

Said Sharvari, “I always wanted to become an actor but it needs courage to take the leap. I was studying Science and when in college, I participated in Fresh Face Contest. I cleared all the rounds and emerged as the winner. So, Clean and Clear gave me the opportunity to work in their commercial. And I realized that I absolutely loved being on the set. It interested me so much that I just wanted to be a part of this industry. After the ad, I started getting more calls for auditions.”

Next, she spoke about her debut show The Forgotten Army and then, we asked her about how it all began for her in terms of Bunty Aur Babli 2. Sharvari narrated how she always admired Rani Mujerji and was in awe of the first part as a child. “I even got clothes stitched like Rani when I was a kid. I was a big fan of Bunty Aur Babli,” said the actress.

Then, taking us through the audition process, she adds, “I have been auditioning with YRF since a long time. It just so happened that it worked for me. The casting director also has to believe in you to give you that chance. In June last year, I was informed that I have been finalised for the second part. Aditya Chopra broke the news to me.”

We asked how was it like working with Gully Boy actor Siddhant Chaturvedi and she revealed that she knew him from before. “I did one audition round with Siddhant. He was locked for the script before me. Also, let me tell you that Sid and I had auditioned together in 2014 for a film that was to happen. But that movie didn't take off.”

Sharvari also had a great time on the sets with Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan, who are a crucial part of Bunty Aur Babli 2, no Abhishek Bachchan this time.

Finally, we ask her take on bold content being churned out on web shows and films too of late.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is directed by Varun V Sharma, produced by Aditya Chopra and is slated to release on June 26, 2020.
