Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput were blessed with their 2ND child on Thursday
night. After that, there has been feverish activity- hospital se ghar, ghar se
hospital- you know how it is. Curious as a cat, SpotboyE.com got in touch with
Shahid's mother Neelima Azim to speak up about the arrival of the new li'l
bundle of joy, Zain,
Neelima was extremely frank and forthcoming. She fielded
all the questions very sportingly.
We bet this piece will bring a big smile on Mira and
Shahid's face. Well, what bring? They already have a big smile on their faces.
Let's say it will widen their smile. Not to forget Neelima's son and Shahid's
brother Ishaan Khatter, who we believe must have broken into a dance when he
heard that the 2nd baby has come into this world. What a good dancer he is; we
assume you haven't missed Dhadak which also brought the lovely and innocent
Janhvi Kapoor into Bollywood. Mira and Zain both are doing fine and life is
just about returning to normal (it has changed to an extent no doubt with a few
adjustments which are made with the arrival of a newborn), but the excitement
at Praneta Apartments (Juhu Tara Road) has not waned even a wee bit yet. Let's
take you straight to Neelima Azim now. Here are the excerpts of the
conversation that transpired:
You must be
feeling on top of the world...
You can say that again. It's wonderful. Shahid and Mira now have a complete family. I am in the best phase of my life. Misha has been the love of my life
ever since she was born. And now, Zain joins her. He is a beautiful child. We
all have toiled very hard in our lives and now just reaping happiness. God has
been kind.
Were you in the
hospital at the time of delivery?
Where else will I be? And of course, Mira's mom was present too.
Had anybody
guessed that it will be a boy. this time?
Aisa kuch nahin tha, but I had a very strong feeling that they will get a son,
this time. I had even shared it with them. I kind of saw a son in their arms in
one of my dreams.
Did Mira and Shahid want a son this time?
Daughters of course are so special, and we really had no preferences. They were
open to both. We were just praying for a healthy baby.
Who decided that
the name will be Zain?
Mira and Shahid decided it mutually. At the time of Misha's birth only, Zain
was decided. It was that it will be Misha if it is a girl (combination of Mira
and Sasha) and if it is a boy, it will be Zain. Long back I had shared the name
with Shahid. I had told him that I love 4 names- Shahid, Ishaan, Zain and Kaamraan.
Whom does he
resemble?
Too early to say.
Too difficult to say. Abhi bol dun, aur 3 months mein woh alag dikhne lagega.
You know kids change so fast.
Still, you must
have had the first impression when you looked at him for the 1st time...
Hmmm... he is gloriously good-looking. I see a bit of everyone in him. He will
turn out to be as handsome as his father and chacha (Ishaan).
Ishaan has turned
out to be very good actor. I have met him twice. He was superb in Beyond The
Clouds and equally good in Dhadak...
Thank you. I am
blessed. Both my sons are gifted- clean, simple and neat. And mind well, they
are not simple and buddhu. They are simple and smart. Touch wood.
Ishaan told me he
breaks into a dance any time, any moment...
(Laughs) Yeah.
Even if he is in a store and hears music! He is a free-flowing boy.
It is good to see
the bonding between them...
Yes. Both stand
by each other. They have their share of similarities but still they have their
own distinct identities.
Back to Zain. You
must have been indulging in a lot of shopping in the last two months for the
new baby...
Yes. Mira calls
me up and says, 'Mummy, yeh lekar aana, woh lekar aana'. Kabhi kabhi Shahid bhi
bol deta hai phone karke. Main aur Ishaan pahunch jaate hain. And, Misha and I
form a great energetic team, we have so much of 'We time' together. Misha is
also learning dancing, kathak seekh rahi hai. And after Misha and now Zain, I
have so much of love, gratitude and forgiveness in my heart. I feel so good and
happy.
Possible that
Misha enters movies?
Arre, why discuss
that now? She is too young, children have their own trajectories. It will not
be possible to answer that question at this point.
How is Mira?
Mira is Mira, she is mast.
Her dress sense
is very good...
She is very
stylish, but never over the top. She is quite understated. She has a refined
sophistication about her.
Congratulations
Neelimaji, once again!
Thank
you so much.
