Kartik Aaryan’s films seem incomplete without a monologue and the makers of his next, Pati Patni Aur Woh also incorporated a monologue for his character in the film, but for a change, it didn’t go well with netizens who felt it endorsed marital rape.
So, when we interacted with the actor ahead of the film’s release, we asked did the excess trolling and negative backlash disturb him. The actor started off by saying that the film’s topic wasn’t about it and just like he has said it earlier, they didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:
“We are here to entertain. While the trailer was liked by the audience, that one thing got so much attention because of the word. We decided to rectify it because that one thing became like a big talking point for everyone and the film’s subject was getting diverted,” said Kartik.
He further added, “A decision was taken by the filmmaker and producer to rectify it and the audience is happy. I was only worried about the fact that this controversy led to diversion. Basically film se hattke baatein chalu ho gayi. Otherwise, I was really happy with the reaction to the trailer and the songs of course.”
Kartik and Ananya also addressed rumours of their relationship as they stated that they are married to their work. Watch their exact reaction below:
