It’s been quite up and down, exciting, exhilarating, it’s been dull, boring….every emotion you can imagine. But, now when I look at my journey in Bollywood, I just knew all of those things were small pieces towards a larger sort of plan which just had to fall in place the way it fell in place. And, this is what it is so I don’t want to change anything about it. I am thankful for everything from accolades to rejections, to ups and downs. All of this has made me what I am today and I am very happy who I am today.”
When asked what has kept her motivated thought her journey, the actress stated, “My love for acting, movies, stories and to create something new…to go out and carry emotion and become another character and live that character. I remember during my childhood, when I used to travel with my family from Juhu to towns, I use to see a lot of buildings pass by and they had lights lit up. This thought looked very daunting to me and I always used to think about their stories, their lives, and their difficulties. I believe there is a story in every household. I wish I was like a fly on every wall to know what their story is. I always want to know the stories of the crowd around me. I sometimes imagine what must be happening in their lives. And, for me, that’s movies and characters. When I walk in a crowd, I imagine stories. That’s my world and that’s the reason why I am here.”
