SVF has released the official logo of Dwitiyo Purush, which is a sequel of 2011hit film ‘Baishe Srabon’, on its official Twitter handle. The announcement has made fans gone crazy. Baishe Srabon was directed by Srijit Mukherji and sequel will be also be directed by him. The film is expected to hit the screen in 2020.

Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, who played the role of DCP Prabir Roy Chowdhury in Baishe Srabon, also wished Mukherji best of luck. The sequel will star Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen. There is no much information about the film. 




The director also made the announcement on his official Twitter handle and the name of the sequel film will be ‘Dwitiyo Purush’. Srijit wrote, “Time for a re-union... #DwitiyoPurush.”


According to reports, the story of Dwitiyo Purush will start from where Baishe Srabon had left off. Baishe Srabon story revolved two journalists and two police officers (one suspended) chasing a vengeful Kolkata psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011.  

Meanwhile, Srijit Mukherji next controversial movie Gumnaami based on a legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be releasing in this Puja. The film is based on Gumnaami baba who was assumed to be the legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
