No matter Srijit Mukherji’s Gumnaami is inviting all the controversy but the national award-winning director has a reason for celebration. His Ek Je Chhilo Raja is still bringing him laurel. The national award-winning film has now become the official selection at the 28th Heartland International Film Festival at Indianapolis.

This is the film's 7th official selection at an international film festival along with its 16 state, national and international awards. Congrats to the team!”


Earlier also, the film has been screened at many film festivals and has been praised. The film stars Jisshu Sengupta, Jaya Ahsan, Aparna Sen, Anirban Bhattacharya, Anjan Dutt, Rudranil Ghosh, and Sreenanda Shankar. The movie was released in 2018.    

Ek Je Chhilo Raja has bagged the prestigious National Film Award for Best Bengali Regional Film this year. The film received thumbs up from critics as well as fans. The film had done fabulous business everywhere.

The movie is all about Mahendra Kumar Choudhuri, the prince of the Bhawal Estate, is taken to Darjeeling for treatment by his relatives where he dies. Years later, a sanyasi shows up claiming to be the lost prince. And how he struggles to prove his identity?

Meanwhile, Srijit Mukherji is all set to release his next controversial movie, ‘Gumnaami’ which stars Prosenjit Chatterjee.
