The screenings will be at Nandan from November 9 to 15. This year, Nandan has also got a makeover for the 25th edition. The interior decoration is redesigned. A new sculpture of three film workers at work has been installed in front of the main entrance. There will also be a special selfie zone as reported by the times of India.
Films from 76 countries will be screened at this year’s KIFF. Those films will be screened at 17 venues that include single-screen theatres such as Minar, Bijali, Priya, Navina, Ajanta and New Empire, and Radha Studio, now called Cinema Centenary Bhavan, among others.
For the first time, 3D films will be shown at KIFF 2019. The first one is a 2011 documentary ‘Pina’, based on dance choreographer Pina Bausch and the second one is ‘The Meaning of the World’, based on explorer and naturalist Alexander von Hum-boldt.
