The outbreak of coronavirus has badly hit the economy of the country. Almost every sector is facing financial crunch. The worst affected is the migrant workers, artisans, labourers, daily wagers. Many celebrities has come forward and lend their helping hand for them.
Actor Jisshu Sengupta penned down a long and heartfelt message for artisans who are suffering in this coronavirus outbreak. "Artisans have always been very important to the history of the entire fashion industry! From the time COVID hit us, there has been support provided for the daily wage workers and migrant, But unfortunately artisans don’t come in any category! And that’s why they have been suffering to even get the basics to survive and hence are taking loans from local money lenders at 120% per year! The worst part – they are giving their DAUGHTERS in EXCHANGE!,” he wrote.
On the work front, Jisshu Sengupta will be next seen in Shakuntala Devi’. The film will be releasing on Amazon Prime. The news is shared by actor Jisshu Sengupta on his Instagram handle. The film stars Vidya Balan and Sanyan Malhotra in the pivotal role.
Jisshu will be essaying Vidya Balan’s husband role in a biopic based on Shakuntala Devi or human-computer.
According to reports, Vidya Balan will play the role of math genius Shakuntala Devi and Jisshu will play her on-screen husband Paritosh Banerji who was an IAS officer from Kolkata and was married to Shakuntala. However, they got separated in 1979. The film is directed by Anu Menon.
