Director Srijit Mukherji, who is Stuttgart for the screening of his film Ek Je Chhilo Raja, is seems enjoying his stay at Germany. He has been sharing pictures on social media, giving major vacation goals.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, he has shared a collage of monuments and places where he had gone. He has captioned the collage as “Stunning Stuttgart’’.


The film was screened on July 20. The film was competing in three categories- German Star of India in the Feature Film category, the Director’s Vision Award and the Audience Award.

 ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’ is a period drama. The movie stars Jisshu Sengupta in the titular role of Maharaja Mahendra Kumar Chowdhury as well as the Bhawal sanyasi. The film also stars Jaya Ahsan, Aparna Sen, Anirban Bhattacharya, Anjan Dutt, Rudranil Ghosh, and Sreenanda Shankar. The movie was released in 2018.

The movie is all about Mahendra Kumar Choudhuri, the prince of the Bhawal Estate, is taken to Darjeeling for treatment by his relatives where he dies. Years later, a sanyasi shows up claiming to be the lost prince. And how he struggles to prove his identity?

Meanwhile, Srijit Mukherji has recently completed the shooting of ‘Gumnaami’.  It is to be noted here that the film has been in controversy ever since Mukherji had announced to make this film. Veteran Bengali hero Prosenjit Chatterjee will be playing the lead role.
