Srijit Mukherji has started shooting of his third thriller film titled as Dwitiyo Purush. The director has shared on the social media. The film stars Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen in the lead roles. The film is slated to release next year.
Srijit Mukherji said that the shooting is going very nice. "We have shot mostly fight sequences. The energy of the entire unit is very high,” he said to The Times of India.
Dwitiyo Purush will be a sequel to his 2011hit film ‘Baishe Srabon’, which starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Abir Chatterjee and director Gautam Ghosh.
According to reports, the story of Dwitiyo Purush will start from where Baishe Srabon had left off. The film will see Parambrata Chatterjee reprise the role of chief detective Abhijit Pakrashi and Raima Sen will be essaying her character of Amrita.
Baishe Srabon story revolved two journalists and two police officers (one suspended) chasing a vengeful Kolkata psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics, and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011. The film received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification for adult language.
