Raima Sen has just completed the shooting of Dwitiyo Purush directed by Srijit Mukherji. The actress will be sharing screen space with Parambrata Chatterjee. Dwitiyo Purush will be a sequel to his 2011hit film ‘Baishe Srabon’, which starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Abir Chatterjee and director Gautam Ghosh.
Talking about her experience, Raima praised Srijit and said the he is master of thrillers and no one else can make better than him. “The look of Amrita is a little mature, as the story takes place eight years since the events of Baishe Srabon. Param reprises the role of chief detective Abhijit Pakrashi. ‘Baishe Srabon’ changed the way thrillers were perceived by the Bengali audience.”
The story of Dwitiyo Purush will start from where Baishe Srabon had left off. Baishe Srabon story revolved two journalists and two police officers (one suspended) chasing a vengeful Kolkata psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics, and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011. The film received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification for adult language.
