The red dot challenge by UNICEF has gained popularity among the celebrities including Bollywood. On International Menstrual Hygiene Day, UNICEF started an initiative to talk about periods and menstrual hygiene which is considered as taboo in the Indian society.
Many Bollywood celebrities are taking part in the red dot challenge to raise awareness about periods. Tollywood actress Darshana Banik also took part in this campaign and shared the picture on her Instagram.
“Put a period to period shaming. We bleed because we create life,” she captioned. Darshana dressed black sleeveless top with hand showing towards camera. On her palm there is a red dot.
She will be next seen in Pratighat. Darshana will share screen space with Soham Chakraborty and Priyanka Sarkar in the film. Her last release Hullor was an official remake of Love Ke liye sala kuch bhi karega. The film has received a mixed response from the audience.
This year, the actress has two more films in the pipeline. Yaarakkum Anjael, a Tamil film, will be opposite Ranjit Jeyakodi and a Bengali film Operation Sundarbans.
