Actress Swastika Mukherjee has won best actress award in Bengali language for her role in the film Kia and Cosmos. The award was announced by Critics Choice Film Awards. Swastika Mukherjee shared the news on Twitter and thanked for the recognition. The film is currently being streamed on Netflix.

Kia and Cosmos is directed by debutant director Sudipto Roy and features Ritwika Pal, Swastika Mukherjee and Joy Sengupta in the lead roles. The film is based on the novel ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time’ by Mark Haddon.
Swastika Mukherjee will be next seen in Guldasta which release has been postponed due to the coronavirus. She has even started the shooting of Arjunn Dutta’s Shrimati. As reported, the film is a family drama, which will show Swastika Mukherjee as a wife of Soham Chakraborty. She is madly in love with her husband but she is also attracted towards the glamour of high society life. Her attraction grows to the extent that she ends up losing her own identity.
