Director Aritra Mukherjee has started shooting of her next upcoming film Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti. Ritabhari Chakraborty will be in the leading role and the first look of the film had been shared earlier. 

Windows Production tweeted the mahurat picture on Twitter, “গোপন কম্মের যাত্রা শুরু Day 1.”


Apart from Ritabhari, Soham Majumdar who has recently delivered a much appreciated performance in the film Kabir Singh, will be seen in the film. It will be his second Bengali film, earlier he had played a supporting character in Kaushik Ganguly’s Drishtikone.

Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti story will revolve around Ritabhari, who is a lecturer and performing artiste. But she is into another profession too. When an encounter with Vikramaditya leads to a marriage proposal, she tells her would-be groom about her multiple identities. Her words are misinterpreted and she is forced to keep one important part of her life under cover due to the stark differences between the worlds she belong to, pre and post marriage.

The film is a dramatic comedy that makes one ponder about the outdated rites and rituals and questions the gender imbalance in society.
Ritabhari Chakraborty is a film actress and producer. One of the prominent name in the Indian television and film industry, she made her first appearance in television as the female protagonist of the popular Indian Bengali television show Ogo Bodhu Sundari.
