Actor Jisshu Sengupta has bagged another Bollywood film and this time he will be once again teaming up with Kangana Ranaut. He has joined the star cast of Thalaivi which is a biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. He will be essaying the role of veteran actor Shoban Babu.
As reported by The Times of India, Shoban Babu and Jayalalithaa had a very close relationship in real life. The news is revealed by The Times of India. However, this is not first time Jisshu and Kangana has come together. They both were seen in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
Apart from these projects, Jisshu will be sharing screen space with Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar in a film titled ‘Durgavati’. The film is a Hindi remake of a Telugu horror film Bhaagamathie’. Anushka Shetty was seen in the lead role in the film.
Jisshu will be seen next in Sadak 2 where he will be essaying the role of Alia Bhatt’s father. Next, he will be featured as Vidya Balan's husband in Shakuntala Devi. Vidya Balan will play the role of math genius Shakuntala Devi and Jisshu will play her on-screen husband Paritosh Banerji who was an IAS officer from Kolkata and was married to Shakuntala. However, they got separated in 1979. The film is directed by Anu Menon.
