Sabyasachi Chakraborty will be sharing screen space with his son Arjun Chakraborty in Subhrajit Mitra's Abhijatrik. The film Abhijatrik is based on the last part of Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay's Aparajito and it will take Apu's story forward.
As reported, Sabyasachi will play Apu’s globetrotter friend. The film starts where Satyajit Ray's Apu trilogy ended. The film also stars Arpita Chatterjee, Sreelekha Mitra, and Ditipriya Roy.
On the work front, Arjun Chakrabarty has recently completed the shooting of Shaheber Cutlet. The story revolves around Ron (Arjun), a 30- chef, specialising in European food. He wants to go to Europe as he thinks he belongs from there. However, he later understands that any dish when made well can prove your expertise. While Sritama plays a character who hails from the suburbs and known for her cooking skills.
He was last seen in Dhrubo Banerjee’s Durgeshgorer Guptodhon which was a sequel to Guptodhoner Sandhane. The story of Durgeshgorer Guptodhon begins when history professor Subarna Sena who along with Abir and Jhinuk decide to visit one of Subarna student’s ancestral mansion at Durgeshgor. The great grandfather of this student was a zamindar and a renowned artist of Bengal. There is a story in the family that they had once received a treasure, but unfortunately, all traces of it had been lost. Subarna along with Abir and Jhinuk tries to find lost clues that may lead them to unearth one of the greatest treasures of Bengal.
