Roger Federer Asks Fans For Bollywood Movie Recommendations, Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Lagaan, 3 Idiots Among Top Voted Suggestions
Ace tennis player Roger Federer asked his fans to recommend him some Bollywood classics to watch while on his way to Shanghai. Fans were quick to respond and came up with several movie suggestions, with Aamir Khan’s Lagaan and Dangal being the top voted suggestions
Looks like international tennis legend Roger Federer is quite fond of Bollywood films, just like us! Years ago, in 2014, the ace tennis player had a friendly match with Bollywood’s megastar Aamir Khan at the International Premier Tennis League, and mentioned that he was waiting for Aamir’s film PK to release. Federer also said that he would be watching the film. Now, on his way to Shanghai, Roger Federer took to his Twitter and asked fans to recommend some Bollywood movies he could watch while on his way.
Roger Federer had asked his fans on Twitter for some movie recommendations. While several fans replied, he later went on to ask fans to suggest a Bollywood classic. His tweet read, “A Bollywood classic maybe?” Indian fans of the world-famous tennis player were overjoyed and enthusiastically recommended a lot of Bollywood films to him. He received thousands of replies in just a couple of hours. Among the huge list of recommendations were films such as Sholay, Lagaan, Dangal, Jodha Akbar, 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen Par and even Danny Boyle’s 2008 Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire. However, the top voted suggestions were Aamir Khan’s films Dangal and Lagaan.

Some of the other Bollywood films that were recommended to Roger Federer were Ayushmann Khurrana’s Andhadhun, and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree. Federer also replied to a lot of tweets which gave us some insights about his choice in films. He also revealed that he hasn’t watched Slumdog Millionaire yet. Looks like Roger Federer was intrigued and fascinated by so many recommendations and he patiently replied to them, while still looking for the perfect film to watch.
Finally, Roger Federer picked Pokemon: Detective Pikachu to watch while on his way to Shanghai! Federer also revealed some interesting details during the exchange. He revealed that he understood Leonardo DiCaprio’s Inception after three attempts and also that he loved superhero films Black Panther and Wonder Woman.
