We are gearing up to celebrate the 71st Republic Day on January 26, 2020. India got freedom from British rule on August 15, 1947, and the Constitution of India came into force on January 26, 1950. It was on this historic day when India was declared as a democratic republic nation. We are proud Indians to overcome the British ruling us over the years and now stand strong with pride and dignity. The President Of India will host the National Flag at Rajpath, New Delhi.
Not many know the constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949, but it was brought into effect from January 26, 1950, which also marked the 20th anniversary of ‘Purna Swaraj’ or complete independence from the British.
