Rahul Dravid Gets Voted As The Best Test Batsman During An Online Poll; Beats God Of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar
We all know master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been topping many lists and polls conducted on various online portals for years now, but for change, former India batsman Rahul Dravid has taken over the spot in one of the recent polls conducted by a digital platform. According to a poll conducted by Wisden India, it saw Rahul Dravid racing ahead of Sachin Tendulkar on the social networking site Facebook. Rahul was voted as the best batsman for the test matches in this poll.

This poll conducted by Wisden India had 11400 fans participating in it, and Rahul Dravid won 52% of the total votes. We congratulate the former India batsman! Wisden India shared this poll result on the Twitter account, with the caption, “Much like Dravid batted during his playing career, he dug in and fought back in the poll, eventually crossing the line with a decent lead at the very end.” Rahul Dravid was voted as the best test batsman in the last 50 years in the world of cricket.

Dravid in between 1996 and 2012 played 164 test matches fetching 13288 runs, while Sachin played 200 test in between 1989 and 2013 scoring 15921 at an average of 52.31 and 53.78 respectively. While in away from home test matches Rahul Dravid scored 7690 runs in 94 matches, Sachin scored 8705 runs at 106 Tests at an average of 53.03 and 54.74 respectively. Also, Rahul Dravid scored 5443 of above mentioned run at an average of 52  in 64 matches played in New Zealand, West India, South Africa, Australia and England.
