Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision of stepping down as senior members of the Royal family in early January came as a huge shock to everyone worldwide. The couple officially stepped down from their Royal duties recently when they moved to Vancouver, Canada with son Archie, finally settling in Los Angeles. Since then, as the couple is moving on, it was recently reported that Meghan felt there were conspiracies against her post her wedding. Now, Prince Harry’s aunt Sophie, the Countess of Wessex reveals the family tried to help the actress adjust to the Royal life.

During an interview with The Sunday Times, Prince Harry‘s aunt Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, spoke out about his and Meghan Markle’s new life and opened up about her own struggles she faced when she got engaged to Prince Edward. As it was reported by The Times that the Countess of Wessex became a confidante of Meghan Markle when she and Prince Harry left London to live in Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, talking to the newspaper during the interview, she said, “We all try to help any new member of the family.” The Countess of Wessex also said that she hopes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be happy.

Moving on, the former publicist also went on to compare her courtship to Harry and Meghan’s whirlwind romance and said, “Remember I’d had five years to adjust,” talking about her long relationship with Prince Edward. She then continued to reveal that for her six-month engagement with Prince Edward, she was staying in Buckingham Palace. The Countess of Wessex who is married to Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son Prince Edward back in 1999 also mentioned that it took her some time to find her feet and settle to the royal life.


Meanwhile, as the 55-year-old shares a close bond with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they were spotted sitting next to Prince Edward and his wife Sophie during their final engagement as senior royals in March for the annual Commonwealth Day service.
