Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola's Mother Dies At 82 Due To Coronavirus; Fans Pour In Condolences
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s mother Dolors Sala has passed away from Coronavirus on Monday, aged 82 in Barcelona. This news has been confirmed by Manchester City in a statement on Twitter. Announcing the sad news of her demise, the club shared a statement, “The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting Corona Virus. She was 82-years-old.” Paying a tribute to their manager, the statement further read, “Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.”

The news of Pep Guardiola’s mother’s demise comes weeks after Pep had donated  920,000 pounds to the Barcelona-based Angel Soler Daniel Foundation to combat the Coronavirus in Spain. The generous donation by Pep will be used for purchasing medical equipment and protective gear for staff members treating the patients with Coronavirus.




Spain has a huge death toll due to the Coronavirus, with over 13,000 deaths.
