BJP leader Vasundhara Raje and her son have gone into immediate self-isolation after partying with Kanika Kapoor, who was tested positive for coronavirus
Earlier today, we woke up to the shocking news of Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who rose to fame with chartbusters like Babydoll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, being tested positive for COVID-19. It all happened after Kanika headed back to India from the UK and was staying in a five-star hotel. Reportedly, she hid her travel history from the airport authorities in London. The singer, in fact, also partied with around 100 people before being tested positive for coronavirus. Kanika soon issued her official statement on being diagnosed.
Now, it appears that BJP’s National Vice President Vasundhara Raje, along with her son Dushyant and in his in-laws, were among the guests who were present for a dinner party that also had Kanika Kapoor. As a consequence of the same, taking to her Twitter account, Vasundhara Raje revealed that she and her son Dushyant have gone for immediate self-quarantine after coming across the news of Kanika Kapoor. The mother-son duo is also taking all the necessary preventive measures for the deadly virus.
The former Chief Minister of Rajasthan tweeted, “While in Lucknow, I attended a dinner with my son Dushyant and his in-laws. Kanika, who has unfortunately tested positive for #Covid19 was also a guest. As a matter of abundant caution, my son and I have immediately self-quarantined and we're taking all necessary precautions.”

Meanwhile, Kanika, in her post, wrote, “Hello everyone, For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19.
My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well. I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10days ago when I came back home, the symptoms have developed only 4 days ago.”
