Asim Riaz’s brother Umar is back to speak with SpotboyE.com about his brother’s game strategy in Bigg Boss 13, his special bond with Himanshi Khurana (who’s evicted), his fights with Sidharth Shukla and lots more.
Here are some excerpts from our conversation with Umar:
Who according to you is responsible for breaking Asim Riaz and Sidharth Shukla's friendship?
Initially, I used to feel Sidharth is his real friend. He would take care of him like an elder brother. Since Asim hasn’t done reality shows before, he needs guidance whereas Sidharth has done few reality shows in the past, so he knows how to play the game. But that doesn't mean you can control your friends and press their nerves all the time and dominate over them. Sidharth’s dictatorship quality is responsible for breaking their friendship.
Asim confessed his feelings to Himanshi Khurana on National TV. What do you have to say to that?
I used to like them a lot when they were together. They came close to each other during the time he was having a lot of fights with Sidharth. She was the one who really helped him to calm down. She came as a support to him in his bad times. I think it was more of an affection. Now outside the game what is going to happen I don't know.
People were expecting Asim to forge a deep connection with Himanshi, but before that could happen, she was evicted…
See, inside the house either some are married or some already have connections like for example, Mahira Khan bhai-zoned Asim. Then, Arti Singh and Asim don't fit together, same with Shehnaaz. Similarly, Rashami and Devoleena also don’t fit with my brother. Shefali is beautiful but she is already married. Then, Himanshi entered the scene and Asim has a thing for eyes and Himanshi has those eyes so I think he fell for them.
You met Himanshi at the airport post her eviction. What did she tell you?
Himanshi had a message from my brother to me about his clothes. Since he has lost some weight, Himanshi told me that Asim needs some fitted clothes in the house. My brother has lost nearly 5 kilos. Before sending away clothes to him, I try them out on myself because now that he’s lost weight, he would be as much as I am, I assume.
Is Asim Riaz single?
He is very much single. He himself has said this on the show many times.
Paras Chhabra made fun of Asim's profession and lifestyle. What do you have to say to it?
I was in anger and was feeling bad for my brother as I have seen his struggle to reach till here. My sister told me that my father was crying when he got to know about this. His comments like ‘you are using 150 bucks perfume and then staying in a rented apartment’ are not good at all and it was all shown on National TV. With this show, everyone is going to remember Asim as a real person. But people are going to remember Paras as a mean person who made such comments as with his high headedness, he has spoilt his own image.
What do you have to say about Paras and Sidharth's physical fight with Asim?
If somebody is going to push Asim, he is the one who will push that person twice. Just because of his initial friendship with Sidharth, he’s not doing anything. If you analyse previous seasons, all those who got physical were sent back home. Say it Priyank Sharma who just pushed Akash Dadlani or KRK who threw a water bottle. But, in spite of pushing Asim so many times, my brother tolerated it for the sake of friendship.
