Early 2000’s was the golden time in the history of Indian television and that period saw some of the most iconic shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. If you watched television back then, there’s no way you could have missed these shows, which were quite successful and ended only after being on air for years! Such was the popularity of these shows as well as their actors. One such unmissable character from Kasautii Zindagii Kay was Komolika, which was played by Urvashi Dholakia.
Urvashi Dholakia shot to fame with her role as the iconic vamp Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and the actress was praised for playing the role to perfection. Her role has been etched into our minds, and the first thing we remember on seeing Urvashi in any other role, is that of Komolika’s! Now the show has completed 18 years and Urvashi took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note. Sharing a clip from the show, she wrote, “18 years of Kausatii Zindagii Kay! The show which changed the way viewers saw Indian Television, gave them their most loved show and probably their most memorable vamp, Komolika. What it gave me was a decade full of love, recognization, and character that became synonymous with my name and me. It shaped me, changed me, taught me and most importantly thank you to each one of you, to @balajitelefilmslimited , @ektaravikapoor and @shobha9168 especially... Komolika became what she did because of you. Forever humble and grateful to god.” ALSO READ: Nach Baliye 9: Urvashi Dholakia Sizzles On Stage; Vishal Aditya Singh Turns Into A Eunuch
