Their die-hard fans watch the show on regular basis as it provides a few hours of great entertainment and relaxation. Now, as all of them have become so popular, Kush Shah who essays the role of Goli in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has revealed that auto and taxi drivers refuse to take money from them as they treat them as family.
Goli stated that drivers do not charge them anymore for the travel even if they insist. Goli feels that it is the sweetest thing someone can ever do. In an conversation with ETimes, he was quoted saying, "There have been many incidents, but one thing that is very sweet and I would like to share with everyone. The rickshaw and taxi drivers refuse to take money or fare from us. Even if we insist they don't take it, which is very sweet of them. They consider us as their family. I feel very grateful."
He also mentioned how his life has changed ever since he started essaying the role of Goli in the famous serial. He narrated that now his relatives address him as Goli and not by his actual name Kush Shah. He was quoted, "Our life has changed completely. My relatives would call me Kush as a kid but after I started working on the show, they started calling me by my screen name Goli so this goes on to prove how our life has changed. Now, Kush doesn't come first, they address me as Goli. I am very grateful and thankful for the love that the audience has given us."
