The show, which will essentially be stand-up comedy centric, has also been offered to Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh. Both of them have given their confirmation to come on board but are yet to sign the dotted line.
Chandan Prabhakar, who used to play chaiwala in The Kapil Sharma Show, has also been approached to participate. We have learnt that he is still pondering over the offer.
As we mentioned earlier, Akshay will be playing the Maha Guru, while Krushna and Bharti will be the Gurus on the show. They both will have their respective teams who will eventually compete with each other.
In the past, Akshay Kumar has hosted reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi on the small screen. His stint was quite a successful one and audience loved his witty comments on the show. He kick-started the show, continued to host the 2nd season as well. The next season was hosted by Priyanka Chopra but Akshay Kumar returned with the show’s 4th season. He was last seen on the small screen in 2011.
Coming back to Sunil Grover, well, the man has been contemplating on his future for quite some time, after the entire mid-air fiasco with Kapil Sharma. He hasn’t taken up any project till now but there is a buzz that he has received a lot of offers from various channels. But clearly he playing very cautious about his next step in television.

As for Krushna and Bharti, this is definitely a big ticket. Their last stint together-Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza (aired on Colors) had turned into a disaster before it was pulled off (in February).
