TV star Devoleena Bhattacharjee has landed in serious trouble. Devoleena's name has cropped up in the investigation of a murder diamond merchant-cum-builder. The police on Tuesday had registered a case of murder after a 57-year-old diamond trader was found dead on the railway tracks of Panvel. The man in question had gone missing last week after he had gone to Andheri to meet some lady and then his phone was in switch-off mode. The police is said to have questioned many models and television actresses in this investigation of this case, as the businessman was supposed to be leading a very flashy lifestyle. First out is the name of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya TV star Devoleena.
The deceased identified as Rajeswar Kishorlal Udhani hadn't returned home since last six days. Rajeswar, who is from Garodia Nagar, Ghatkopar, is also well known in the construction business. This is not yet confirmed but the buzz is that TV star Devoleena Bhattacharjee's number being on Rajeswar's Call List drove the police to call her. The inquiry was conducted at Pant Nagar Police Station for several hours (SEE DEVOLEENA VIDEO FROM POLICE STATION BELOW). The police have not yet revealed what all did Devoleena tell them.
In a latest development, Devoleena's good friend Sachin Pawar, who formerly worked with BJP's Prakash Mehta, has also been questioned. Mehta has given a statement that Pawar has had no contacts with him ever since he stopped functioning for his party in 2009. Says Mehta, "Sachin Pawar is not my assistant now. He was working with me from 2004 till 2009. In such a scenario, it is therefore wrong to add my name to this person. Mumbai Police is one of the country's most competent agencies. In such a situation, they will take appropriate action against the criminals by speeding up appropriate and proper action. The BJP has never supported any criminal or illegal acts."
