Nausheen Ali Sardaar On COVID-19 Crisis: 'Feeling Depressed, Can't Meet My Mother Who Stays In The Next Lane'- EXCLUSIVE
The global pandemic, COVID-19, has impacted all our lives. People are locked down at their houses since March. The ones who are staying with their family are still somehow managing to cope with the tough situation but those who are staying alone, are losing their patience now.

TV actress Nausheen Ali Sardaar is in the second category of people. The actress is staying all by herself with 4 pet cats. Her mother and elder sister stay in the next lane from her house but she can't go there due to society's strict rules.

Talking to us at length about her situation, Nausheen said, "The building right opposite mine has been sealed after a lady tested positive. The scary part is that she is pregnant and got this from a hospital when she visited for a regular check-up. I am feeling so bad for her. The ambulance came and took her on Sunday. It's happening majorly when people are breathing the same air ventialted from centralised air-conditioning. After this incident, even we are not allowed to step out of our building. We have been issued a notice by the society that going out for groceries is allowed only once a week."

Nausheen also added what all problems she is facing because of the lockdown and revised rules and regulations. "I go and feed the stray animals but now I am not able to do so. My society has asked me to submit a letter for taking permission for this. I usually take steps to excercise a bit, however, even that is locked up now. My building doesn't have a compound, hence, I can't even walk and I am getting very depressed because of that sitting at home. I live alone and locked inside my house since March 16. I know we have Internet and stuff to keep ourselves busy but how much can you video call and browse," said Nausheen.

The only company she has right now is that of her pets, Nausheen addes, "Only my pets (4 cats) are with me. I miss my family and you know the irony is my family is in the next lane and I can't go and meet them. My mother is 65 and I can't be selfish to go and meet her as I can be a carrier which is dangerous. Thankfully my elder sister is with her and they have a permanent domestic help. However, in my case I have to do everything all alone like cooking, cleaning, giving baths to my pets. I was supposed to shift with one of my friends, who also stays alone but my society is not allowing. I told them then let her come in, but they are saying for that she needs to do her test and get a police verification. But the situation is so bad outside that if you go for such procedures, you may come back with the virus. People staying with families and roommates are blessed right now."

Nausheen concluded by saying, "I am watching TV and the scenes are just passing by and I am not even realising. I am not getting sleep till 5-6 in the morning. It feels like a dark time."
