India Lockdown For 21 Days: Sidharth Shukla, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Hina Khan Urge Citizens To Stay Calm

As India has gone under complete lockdown, Television celebrities like Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan, Akanksha Puri, Kavita Kaushik among others have lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision but also urge fellow citizens to stay calm.

A while ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed nation and announced the nation-wide-lockdown starting midnight for the next 21 days. In his speech, the Prime Minister said that this seems to be the only solution to curb the widely spreading Coronavirus. He clearly mentioned that lockdown is like a Curfew, however, essential commodities will be available. PM Modi also said to break the cycle of COVID-19, social distancing shall be practised by all.

Soon after the decision was made, Bollywood and Television celebs took to Twitter to laud the PM’s move. Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla wrote, “Be safe and stay at home for yourself and your family! #21Days #21daysLockdown”.

Hina Khan Tweeted, “Dear All, Instantaneous Panic Buying with the motive of hoarding essentials will or may result in someone needy go without it, which can be fatal for them n for the people surrounding them. Desperate people will take desperate steps and I m sure no one intends that…” “Essentials will b available during this period of lockdown as promised by d government. Only trust will get us through this grave Pandemic. Overcrowding may result in the very thing you wanna avoid. Precautions r fine but fearful steps r not good. Plz practice social distancing!,” read her another Tweet.

Siddharth Nigam wrote, “में आप सबसे अनुरोध करता हूँ की कृपया घर से बहार ना निकलेय घर पर ही रहे. #jaanhaintohjahan @narendramodi Thank you sir”

Bigg Boss 13 contestant Paras Chhabra’s ex-girlfriend Akanksha Puri wrote, “Its a complete #LockdownNow till 14th April !! 21 days #lockdown “Jaan hai toh Jahan hai” as Mr Prime Minister @narendramodi  Be safe everyone !! Stay at home !! Don’t panic ..Let’s be united and Let’s #fightCoronavirus together !”
