Happy Birthday Smriti Irani: Ekta Kapoor Wishes ‘Maasi No 1’; Recalls The Memory Of Throwing Her Out Of One Show
On the occasion of Smriti Irani’s birthday, her friend Ekta Kapoor who also catapulted her to fame after making her Tulsi from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi wished maasi no. 1 Smriti by recalling the time when she threw her out of one show and directly made her the lead in KSBKBT
Smriti Irani tasted fame for the first time when Ekta Kapoor had cast her as Tulsi in one of the most iconic shows, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Since then, the two made their bond strong and ensure to always be each other’s side in happiness and sorrow. Though Irani has joined politics, her friendship has changed a bit. Today, it is Smriti Irani’s birthday and Ekta has sent out the best and warmest birthday message of all time.
While sharing a slideshow video of the two, Ekta also posted a long note that talks about the time when she threw Smriti out of her show 'Ghar Ek Mandir' and instead made her the lead of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The producer praised Smriti who has grown from a shy woman to the one who's now commanding meetings where even the powerful men listen to her. She called Irani ‘superwoman’
Her note read, “Happie bday maaasi no1! From giving u awards to@getting awards from u we have come a long way! To u blushing shyly in a white shirt n jeans when @monishasinghkatial n I told u we r throwing u out of ghar Ek mandir to.. cast u as a lead in our new show saas bhi kabhi bahu thi ..n then ordering a cake as it was ur bday that u dint even mention out of fear ..to seeing u command mtngs politely yet firmly n seeing powerful men listen intently..I think iv seen it all with u ! U become a wife n a mother..I become a mother everything changed n nothing did! Rishton ka rang badla ...ainaaa ab bhi wahi! Happie bday super woman”
Responding on the same, Smriti thanked Ekta for bringing confidence, love and joy. She also mentioned that her friendship with Ekta is the greatest gift from god: “Thank you for all that you are and all that you do.. the day I met you to this day that I miss being with you ; you have brought joy and yes at times tears , you have brought confidence and love to my life .. one of the greatest blessings god could have given to me is your friendship. stay safe and take care . You are more precious than you will ever know”
Mouni Roy who played Tulsi’ daughter Krishna Tulsi in the serial too made a sweet comment on Ekta’s post which read: “Happy happy birthday @smritiiraniofficial thank you for being the way you were shall always remember your books icecreams & the kindness you showered on someone u didn’t have to .. love you then , now ...& forever..”
