Ashmit Patel and Mahekk Chahal, who rose to fame with their stints in Bigg Boss, were among one of the most adored couples of TV. In fact, a report in Times of India states how after five years of dating, Ashmit and Mahekk were so madly in love that they had secretly exchanged rings in the month of August 2017 and were planning for a grand destination wedding in 2018. However, fate had some other plans for the two, as they started coming across certain compatibility issues and have now parted ways.
A source close to the couple said to the portal that Ashmit and Mahekk, who were in a live-in relationship, have started residing separately now. They added that Ashmit and Mahekk decided to postpone their wedding and give their relationship a second chance; however, there wasn’t any improvement and the problems between them only escalated, hence the mutual separation. The duo has also called off their engagement. The cause behind their split is still unknown. When Mahekk was quizzed about the same by BT, she confirmed the news saying, “I have left Ashmit Patel. I am out of this relationship.”Ashmit Patel, on the other hand, said, “It is true that we are no longer together. I request respect for our privacy on this issue and do not want to comment further.”
While Ashmit Patel was seen in the fourth season of Bigg Boss, Mahekk had participated in the fifth season. It was in the year 2015 that Mahekk and Ashmit started dating and they were also a part of the popular reality show, Power Couple.
