Neena Kulkarni Describes How Quarantine Has Brought Families Together
Neena Kulkarni loves how her family is bonding during the #21dayslockdown.
Everyone is currently complaining about the various problems they are facing due to lockdown. The inability to move out of the home for basic necessities, the lack of services like food and product deliveries, insufficiency of groceries and much more. There are also a few people who are keen on using this time to spend with family and pets. Celebrities who rarely get any time from their hectic schedule for “family time” are especially delighted. One such celebrity is Neena Kulkarni. She shared a collage of her moments of “family time” on her Instagram.
Neena was always insecure that her children were back at home while she was at work. Now as they have grown up, they are hardly at home and she spends more time at home missing them. She writes, “No it isn’t just me! This is completely a ‘mother’ thing! I try to explain it to my children when they chide me for my ‘silliness’, and, of course, they don’t understand”.
It gives her comfort that her children are with her during the lockdown. She feels safe being with her family even when the world outside is in perilous conditions. She says, “My children are in front of me, 24x7! I am getting to know them once again. Much needed ‘family time’ is being given to us by default. For us to learn from it, to absorb it and to enjoy it. Soon, this awful danger will pass, and we will limp back to normalcy. We will all go back to our busy lives outside. But we will not forget this time we spent in isolation. For me, I hope to be a much calmer version of the hyper ‘mother’ in me. No more anguish, or worrying now. Because I have gotten to know two grown-up, independent, responsible people, who happen to be my children. Welcome to adulthood, ‘mother’!”
Neena sends out an important message that “one should view this time as an opportunity to be at home, in the luxuries of their lifestyle.
