Just like any other important organ of the human body, Kidneys also play a very significant role in maintaining body fluids. Kidney diseases are like silent killers, which can harm and effect your quality of life. 

There are many ways to reduce the risk of kidney diseases. On the occassion of World Kidney Day we are here to tell you some tips to keep your Kidneys Healthy. 

World Kidney Day was first celebrated in 2006, as around 66 countries came together to recall the importance of kidneys and to raise awareness of the impact of kidney-related issues.


World Kidney day is celebrated every year on second thursday of march. Aim to celebrate this day is only to create awareness and highlight one of the main risks associated with bad kidney which can lead to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). 

Tips to keep your kidneys Healthy 

1) Exercise, as much as you can, staying active and fit works like a painkiller for every disease.  

2) Maintain certain distance from fatty products like brown rice, canned food, whole wheat bread, dairy products, etc. It monitors your cholesterol level and blood pressure.
 

3) Get an annual checkup done. 

4). Be self-aware of your family's medical history. 

5).Avoid Smoking and  excessive drinking of alcohol, as it leads to kidney failure.
