Amazon’s web series Paatal Lok, which saw Anushka Sharma’s digital debut as a producer, is receiving a lot of praise and acclaim by most people. While a section of Netizens found certain parts of the series offensive, many fans called Paatal Lok Amazon Prime’s answer to Netflix’s Sacred Games. Both amazing web series, with an extraordinary cast.  With comparisons between the two series being drawn already, fans were left fascinated after Sacred Games’ Kuckoo, Kubbra Sait pointed out a reference of her character in Paatal Lok.

In the season finale of Paatal Lok, Cheeni (played by Mairembam Ronaldo Singh) had kept 2.5 lakh rupees at ‘Kuku’s parlour’ and asks a friend to collect it. Cheeni works at the beauty parlour which is run by Kuku. Kubra Sait, who played the role of Kuckoo, a transgender in Sacred Games, was thrilled to see the reference and pointed it out in one of her tweets. She wrote, “You know the coolest thing... Cheeni worked in Kuku ka parlour  Mairembam Ronaldo Singh is still reeling in my head #PaatalLok.”

A fan later shared a still from Paatal Lok, the scene where Cheeni talks about Kuku’s parlor, and wrote, “Greatest crossover ever? Sharing the same on her Twitter account, Kubbra wrote, “Bola tha maine. I saw what you did there, Sudip Sharma (creator of the show). #PaatalLok.”


Well, that’s really interesting. Maybe it was a coincidence. Or maybe not. After Kubbra Sait watched Paatal Lok, she tweeted about the series, heaping praises. She wrote, “I won’t even begin to write how I feel after watching #PaatalLok. I’ll just sit here & feel for a while longer. #JaideepAlhawat #IshwakSingh @NeerajKabi @sharmamatvipin @GulPanag #MairembamRonaldoSingh @nowitsabhi @PrimeVideoIN.
