Just Binge Session With Breathe's Nithya Menen: Actress Is Not Fond Of Remakes, 'You Can Never Ever Recreate That Magic'

In today's world, many filmmakers and even music composers are remaking movies and songs for the modern generation. Talking about the movies, classics like Pati Patni Aur Woh, Kabir Singh, Simmba and many more are either inspired or is an official remake of the original. As we speak of it, South superstar Nithya Menen who will be next seen in Amazon Prime series Breathe: Into The Shadows spoke how she is not fond of remakes.
While exclusively speaking to Manish Batavia in SpotboyE's Just Binge Session, she was asked if her films like Awe and Praana can be remade in Hindi or any other films that can be remade for a Hindi version, to which the Mission Mangal actress quipped, "I'm not a big believer in remakes in general. I don’t think any film should be remade, just watch the original film. I mean get past with the language thing, watch it with subtitles. Just watch the film even if you don’t understand. There’s sort of magic that film has which you cannot exactly pinpoint and never and you can never ever recreate that magic.
As she has also done remakes in the past, referring to that, she further added, "I myself have done remakes which I know for sure hasn’t been anything like its original, it can never be no matter which actor is in it. I’m not so fond of remakes. You want to watch a film then watch one that exists rather than remake it and lose its magic."
Coming back to her upcoming series, Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen's thriller series Breathe: Into The Shadows is one of the most anticipated series. Since it is a lockdown and given the fact that R Madhavan's Breathe was a massive hit, people are all the more excited to watch the series, plus, the teasers and trailers of the series have quite intrigued people.
Breathe: Into The Shadows is all about a happy family but everything changes in a few moments when their daughter named Siya gets abducted by the kidnapper, leaving her father and mother in despair. The story is about how her father tries to save her daughter and to what extent he will go to save his daughter who is a hostage of the kidnapper.
Breathe: Into The Shadows starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen will be releasing on July 1 on Amazon Prime Video.
