Supermodel Gigi Hadid Officially Dismissed As A Prospective Juror In Harvey Weinstein’s Rape And Sex Abuse Trial

Harvey Weinstein has produced some amazing films like Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and Kill Bill: Volume 1 and 2, Lord Of The Rings series and many more in his kitty. The American Producer was recently accused of five charges which include rape and predatory sexual assault relating to two alleged victims. During the 2017 #MeToo movement, almost a dozen women came forward and accused Harvey of sexual assault. According to BBC news, the court has summoned 2,000 potential jurors for the case which is about five times more than normal. Amongst these many potential jurors, 12 are suitable regular jurors and six are alternate jurors. Supermodel and Zayn Malik’s girlfriend Gigi was called as a potential juror in the rape trial as she said, “I think I’m still able to keep an open mind on the facts.” but the lady was soon dismissed from the case.
The same portal also reported that the defence and prosecutors agreed later that having her on the jury would be too much of a commotion and hence, she left the court shortly after her arrival. Hadid's dismissal came as another potential juror was threatened with being held in contempt of court by Judge Burke. The Victoria secret model was recently seen outside the court where the paps papped her with photographers while the lady walked away without answering any questions. It is also said Salma Hayek and Charlize Theron have also been named as possible witnesses for the trial, however, they still haven’t been called to the court yet.
On a totally unrelated note, Gigi Hadid was grabbing the headlines as she rekindled her love the former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. Gigi and Zayn got back together right before the holidays in December.
The couple who quietly broke up in January 2019 reconciled last month and celebrated Zayn’s birthday at the Italian restaurant il Buco in New York City.
