Jennifer Lopez’s performance in the 2019 film Hustlers was praised by many. The film revolves around strippers and her remarkable performance in the film had a lot of people expecting her to get a nomination at the Oscars. However, that wasn’t the case, and JLo did not get an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress, much to people’s disappointment. Wendy Williams is very disappointed with this year’s Oscars nominations and she has now reacted to Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce being left out of the nominations, for Hustlers and The Lion King respectively.

Now, Wendy Williams has expressed her disappointment on her January 13 talk show. Wendy said on the show, “Let me tell you something Jen, you were robbed. They robbed you purposely because they’re jealous of you. Do you know why they’re jealous? They’re jealous because I still don’t think they still consider you as an actress… Jen, they’re jealous of you and please don’t blame Alex!” She also said that if it was her, she would pull out of the Super Bowl half-time show and wouldn't perform. She said, “You want me to get up there and twerk at the Super Bowl, I couldn’t even get an Oscar nomination because these bougie b*tches think that they’re better than me? That’s not all, she also addressed that Beyonce was not nominated either, and her song ‘Spirit’ from The Lion King didn’t make it to the best original song category. Expressing her annoyance, she said, “Her and JAY-Z are probably like, ‘How dare these people.’ Beyonce, they’re jealous of you too.”


Jennifer Lopez will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show along with Shakira in February 2020. Before her snub at Oscars, JLo has received Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Critics Choice Award nominations for her role in Hustlers.
