Ellen Degeneres’s Partner Portia De Rossi Comes In Support Of The Host Amidst News Of Toxic Work Environment On Ellen's Show
Ellen Degeneres’s partner Portia De Rossi taking to her Instagram account, displayed her support towards Ellen after news of toxic work environment cropped up regarding Ellen's show
Comedian Kevin Porter’s tweet about Ellen DeGeneres’ rude behaviour with her staff behind the scenes of her hit talk show, unlike her onscreen image, caused a lot of stir in the entertainment business. His tweet speaking about her rude behaviour and targeting people on her show’s sets has received over 2000 responses. Since then many allegations were made on this chat show host, thus putting her in a tight spot. Now her partner Portia de Rossi is reported to be standing in solidarity with her. Ellen and Portia have been in wedlock since 2008.
Taking to her Instagram account, Portia shared an image carrying text, “I Stand By Ellen” having the show’s signature combination of white and baby blue. She wrote in her caption, “To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support. #stopbotattacks” Thanking the people for coming in support of Ellen, Portia in one of her hashtags mentioned to stop the bot attacks. This post of Portia received several negative comments too, speaking about not Ellen but the people who have spoken about her rude behaviour being the victims.
Months after the news of the employees complaining about the toxic work environment, Ellen too released her first statement.
Variety quoted her saying, “Hey everybody – it’s Ellen. On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show. I could not have the success I’ve had without all of your contributions. My name is on the show and everything we do and I take responsibility for that.”
Meanwhile, there were also news reports of the TV host’s marriage hitting rock bottom. But Gossip Cop debunked the reports and shared the news is false.
And now with this latest Instagram post of Portia, it is confirmed of the two being very much together.
