We all love singing superstar Beyoncé and Queen Bee just knows how to entertain her fans across the world with her interesting music. As the 20th BET Awards was held on June 28, 2020, as a virtual show and hosted by Amanda Seales, singing sensation Beyoncé was honoured with the prestigious Humanitarian Award. At the BET Awards 2020, it was none other than Michelle Obama who presented the award to the singer. While receiving the award, Queen BEE spoke up in support of racial equality.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, BET Awards tweeted, “Congrats to #Beyonce for receiving the 2020 Humanitarian Award #BETAwards.” Tweeting a picture of the singing sensation, BET Awards congratulated Beyoncé for receiving the 2020 Humanitarian Award. As the event was held recently, the major highlights of Sunday's BET Awards show was Michelle Obama presenting the honour to Beyoncé. While doing so, the former first lady said, “To my girl, I just want to say you inspire me,” and added, “You inspire all of us,” praising the singer for her good work towards the society.

According to a report in CNN, as Beyoncé dedicated her award to everyone marching in support of racial equality, in her acceptance speech, she said, “Your voices are being heard and you're proving to our ancestors that their struggles were not in vain.” While the singer mentioned how the voices of everyone are being heard and the struggles of the ancestors will not go in vain, she continued to talk about how it is necessary for everyone to walk in true power and that is to vote. She then mentioned that she is encouraging everyone to continue to take action and change and dismantle the racist and unequal system. Finally, moving on, Beyoncé added, "We have to vote like our life depends on it, because it does."

Meanwhile, Beyoncé was honoured with the award due to her BeyGOOD initiative. Through the initiative, the superstar singer has managed to establish many different scholarships and philanthropic foundations and her most recent one was her #IDIDMYPART mobile testing initiative, supporting communities of colour that were impacted by the pandemic.
