Avengers: Endgame Had A Major Doctor Strange Timeline Error As Noticed By Fans; Or Did It?
Even though it has been more than a year since Avengers: Endgame released, fans are unable to get over this film. The Avengers franchise of Marvel Studios reached its climax with all the superheroes coming together to defeat Thanos and save the world. Yes, our beloved Iron Man aka Tony Stark had to give his life to do so, but fans were more than happy to witness this marvel. Ever since it's release, people have been coming up with theories as to what will happen to superheroes now, recently, a few fans noticed a major error in the timeline of Doctor Strange in Avengers: Endgame. 

Going by various articles, the error occurs when Hulk goes back in time, to the year 2012, to collect Time Stone. He travels to New York to meet Doctor Strange's mentor the Ancient One to collect the stone. However, she refuses to handover the stone to Hulk and even defeats the mighty superhero. Hulk then begs her to handover the stone stating that Stephen Strange aka Doctor Strange willingly gave the Time Stone to Thanos. Post this, Ancient One considers giving the stone to Hulk stating that she believes Doctor Strange has a plan.  

Fans feel here's where the timeline error occured. If the Ancient One knew about Doctor Strange in 2012, she would have not refused to mentor him in 2016 as she found him arrogant in film Doctor Strange. On the contrary, quite a few feel that this is not a plot-time error. An Avengers fan wrote on Twitter, "This isn't a plot hole. The Ancient One clearly states her motives regarding Strange and is using her knowledge of the future to guide him to that end. Each step she takes is carefully calculated to shape an arrogant man into the great sorcerer he becomes."
